Amber Tierney, hailing from the picturesque state of Oregon, is the creative mind behind the whimsical world of Kurt Spoopyton. With a lifelong passion for drawing and storytelling, Amber has always been driven to create characters and build enchanting worlds around them. Their journey began in middle and high school, where they spent countless hours writing comics and short stories. Although these early projects remained unfinished, Amber’s perseverance and dedication have since led to the completion of two delightful books, with many more on the horizon.
Growing up, Amber found inspiration in the friendly, approachable comic books of their youth, such as Casper the Friendly Ghost, Wendy the Good Little Witch, Archie Comics, and Sailor Moon. As they matured, a burgeoning love of horror stories and movies added a spooky twist to their creative palette, resulting in the charmingly eerie adventures of Kurt Spoopyton.

When not immersed in the world of Kurt Spoopyton, Amber enjoys a wide array of creative hobbies. From 3D modeling and paper crafts to woodworking and soap making, their love for crafting knows no bounds. At home, Amber is surrounded by their beloved Boston Terrier, Mango (the inspiration for Mangost the dog), two cats named Darkwin and Pineapple, a tortoise, and an astonishing 23 pet spiders, for whom they even make dollhouse furniture!
